Smarter Every Day made a pretty interesting video about 23&Me. [VIDEO] . I'm not pro/anti 23&Me or anything but it brings an interesting perspective.
Read original comment ↗influencers are very selective with their 'reviews' and may chose to leave out things like data-privacy policies, when reviewing a company that provides you DNA analysis -- which should make you question all the information you get from such sources [VIDEO]
Read original comment ↗Wait a second, I though these companies didn't sequence DNA. I thought most of them just ran your DNA against known patterns to see if they patch to give you a probably/percentage of ancestry, with all the original samples being destroyed: [VIDEO] Does ancestry actually sample and save entire DNA sequences (I guess they have to in order to do family tree matching)? Crazy.
