“Hello, world” from scratch on a 6502 — Part 1
Ben Eater
Choose the 6502 build opening when you want a tangible route through a small computer. Digital logic and careful wiring are useful foundations.
Choose a complete machine or a constrained chip
Embedded-electronics videos mix build series with unusual hardware architectures. Pick a route that matches your goal: learning how a small computer works, or examining the constraints that make a particular chip design interesting.
Eater’s 6502 opening is the more concrete route into connecting a processor and its supporting hardware. Moore’s presentation is a contrasting architecture discussion centered on a highly constrained multicore design. For either choice, identify which work happens in hardware, which happens in firmware, and how the system communicates with external devices. A successful demo does not remove those boundaries.

Strange Loop Conference
Choose Moore’s chip presentation for a different view of computation under energy and resource constraints. It is an architecture case, not an Arduino tutorial.
Watching a build is not sufficient preparation for wiring a powered circuit. Use the original parts information and appropriate safety practices before attempting a reproduction.
